Academic Renewal (PDF)
Students who met eligibility requirements may petition to have an entire semester of course work disregarded in all calculations regarding academic standing and grade point average.

Application for Admission (PDF) or APPLY ONLINE
To apply for admission to WNC download the printable version of the application above, or, simply fill out the Online Application. Applications are processed within 3 working days after the start of new student registration for the applicable semester. Admissions and Records does not send confirmations when applications are processed.

Application for Admission to the BTech Program (PDF)
To be accepted into the Bachelor of Technology Ð Construction Management program, a student must fill out this form.

High School Authorization Form (PDF)
This form is required for students currently in high school student who wish to register for WNC courses. It must be signed by your designated high school official every semester before you can enroll at WNC. Home school students are required to obtain the school district superintendent's signature. If this is your first semester at WNC, you will need to submit an Application for Admission along with your High School Authorization Form.

WNC Transcript Request Form (PDF)
Each student receives 10 complimentary transcripts. Additional transcripts are $2.00. Unofficial transcripts may be accessed through Web-Reg.

Other institution Transcript Request Form (PDF)
Use this form to request a transcript from another college or high school to be sent to WNC. Please contact other institution for their procedures and costs before you send your request to them.

Petition for Credit Evaluation (PDF)
To request degree progress, or transfer credit evaluations, for continuing and transferring students.

Degree/Major Declaration (PDF)
This form is for students to officially declare or change majors for degree or certificate programs.

Direct Deposit for Fee Refunds (PDF)
The Controller's Office now offers DIRECT DEPOSIT as a more convenient means of providing refund/overage checks to students. Instead of mailing a check, we will deposit the funds directly into your checking account.

Request for Grade of Incomplete (PDF)
Students that complete 75% of the course work in a class, but due to a verifiable or compelling reason are unable to complete the class, may request an "I" grade. Refer to form for policies and instructions.

Application for Graduation (PDF)
The fee for applying for graduation is $20 and the deadlines for filing are: November 1st for fall Semester, March 1st for spring Semester, and June 15th for summer semester.

Initial Residency Review Application (PDF)
Submit this application if you are a new student and believe your residency status has been classified incorrectly. Please check Residency Requirements for residency information.

Residency Reclassification Application (PDF)
To apply to change your status from a nonresident to a resident. Please check Residency Requirements for residency information.

Good Neighbor Application (PDF)
Individuals maintaining a legal bona fide resident status in a "good neighbor" county for at least twelve consecutive months before the first day of the semester, or those that graduated from a "good neighbor" high school are eligible to apply for reduced non-resident tuition.

Refund Policy Exception Request (PDF)
Submit this application if you would like to request an exception to WNC's refund policy. Refer to the form for possible exceptions.

Name Change Form (PDF)
A change of name on academic records requires a court issued document that explicitly states the reason and date of name change. Submit the name change form and a copy of marriage certificate, divorce decree, or other legal document that changed your name.

Special Enrollment Authorization Form (PDF)
Required for the following: switching from credit to audit (or vice versa), reinstatement into a class, enrollment into a full class, enrolling in more than 18 credits, late registration, even exchange of classes (add/drop) during the first two weeks of a semester.

Request for Non-Disclosure of Directory Information / Privacy Policy (PDF)
Directory information about current and former students may be provided to individuals outside of WNC at the discretion of the institution. Directory information includes student name, city, state, residency status, full-time/part-time status, graduation date, major/degree, academic honors, dates of attendance and whether currently enrolled, and photographs from college sanctioned events. This form is for individuals who wish to restrict access to their directory information.

Repeat Adjustment (PDF)
Students may petition to repeat up to 12 credits with an adjustment to the previous grade(s).

Challenge Examination Request (PDF)
Students who believe they have accumulated extensive knowledge of the content of a course outside of formal classroom instruction may request to challenge a course for credit, subject to instructor and Director of Admissions and Records approval. Refer to form for challenge examination policies and instructions.

Waiver to Release Records (PDF)
Use this form to authorize another individual to have access to your WNC educational record.

WUE Application (PDF)
Through the Western Undergraduate Exchange, (WUE), students who have lived as bona fide residents for at least 12 months in an eligible western state may apply for WUE status. Approved WUE students pay 150 percent of the college's regular resident tuition. Only students who have not yet matriculated to WNC may apply.

Enrollment Verification
The National Student Clearinghouse is the authorized agent for WNC for providing enrollment and degree verifications. Students may access the clearinghouse for degree verifications through Web-REG. Employers or background screening firms requesting degree verifications may contact the National Student Clearinghouse at www.degreeverify.com or by calling 703-742-4200.
