The Financial Assistance Office strives to promote the educational success of the WNC community by providing professional service and resources, and by reducing financial barriers.
WNC's financial aid application process is easy:
Visit the FAFSA website to apply for financial assistance. http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/
*Note* All financial aid documents must be received no later than July 1st for financial aid to be processed by the payment deadline for Fall 2015. Students submitting documents after this date will be expected to pay their own fees.
Students receiving loans only AND have a 30 delay will need to set up a payment plan with the Business Office.
*Note* December 3rd is the last day to complete all financial aid application, checklist items, loan forms, and to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress Standards, in order to receive aid in time for Spring 2016 fees to be paid by class cancellation deadlines. If checklist items are not complete and Satisfactory Academic Progress Standards are not met by this date, students must plan to pay for Spring 2016 fees on their own and in accordance with fee deadlines.
Information on when and how you will receive your financial aid or scholarship can be found on the Receiving Financial Aid/Scholarships page.
The WNC Scholarship Application period is now closed.
Western Nevada College is rolling out a new program to help students stay on track to repay their college loans. Recently, WNC launched a partnership with SALT, a non-profit resource that helps students become more aware and empowered to navigate higher education financing, manage their loan debt, and gain insight into budgeting.
