From now through December 2007, the WNC will award over 100 annual scholarships to students pursuing associate degrees in engineering, math or computer science, including:
- Computer Engineering Technology
- Electrical Engineering Technology
- Electronics Engineering Technology
- Engineering Science
- Electronics Technology
- Mathematics
- Computer Science
The scholarship awards are provided by grant from the National Science Foundation for $336,900 to support the college's Workforce Initiative for Nevada Students in Engineering and Technology (WINSET). You must also complete the FAFSA and be a full time student to qualify for this scholarship.
In addition to the WINSET scholarships, students will be placed in engineering-related internships with local businesses and industries, so they'll be able to work during the school year and during the summer in jobs that will give them real-world engineering experience.
