WebCampus classes (Blackboard/WebCT) are not usually available for student access until the first day of the semester. Only students who have registered and paid for the class will be able to access their online courses. To log into WebCampus, students must:

• Know their WNC NetID (All students are automatically assigned a NetID when they enroll at WNC)
• Know their WNC Student I.D. (W #)

Follow the instructions below to activate your WNC NetID and/or student I.D. (W number).

NetID

A WNC NetID is a 6-8 character ID (previously, this was the first part of your WNC e-mail address). To obtain a WNC NetID, follow these steps:

• Click on activate your account (even if you had an NetID or e-mail address before but have forgotten it).
• Follow the directions and you'll get your NetID.
• Make sure you write your NetID and password down (Note: your NetID password is not the same as your WebCampus password).
• If you have questions about your WNC NetID account or need your NetID password reset, call the WNC WebCampus help line at 775-445-3227.

Student ID, or "W" Number

To find out your W number (student ID), follow these steps:

• Login to WNC's Web-REG
• Follow the directions on the screen to log in (you'll need your social security number)
• After logging in, your W# will appear in the upper left hand corner of the page (right under where it says "Menu Options")

Accessing WebCampus (BlackBoard/WebCT)

1. Click on Log In to access your Web Class (Blackboard/WebCT)
2. Students will be asked for their user name and password.
   • User Name: your WNC NetID.
   • Password: Your password for your first login is your Student ID or W Number. For example, "W000012345". (Note: Capitalize the W, then add the additional zeroes & numbers in your student I.D. Note: You will be asked to change your password after you log in successfully the first time.)

Getting Help

Students who are having trouble logging in to their WebCampus (BlackBoard/WebCT) classes should first check the Access Frequently Asked Questions or call the library reference desk at 775-445-3227. The library hours are posted on their web site. The librarians will help troubleshoot the problem and can reset passwords if necessary.
