FAQs

1: I just registered for an online class. When can I access WNC Online

Students who have taken classes at WNC prior to the current semester take up to 24 hours to show up in WNC Online after they have registered for classes.

If you have never taken classes at WNC before, it can take up to three business days before your ID is activated and you are activated in WNC Online.

If you still can't access your class, contact the Library Reference desk at 775-445-3227.

2: I have the correct user name and password but I still get access denied messages.

Check to make sure you are using the correct address to access WNC Online. The correct address is: http://wnc.mrooms3.net.

If you are accessing WNC Online from behind a firewall (usually when accessing from your place of employment), you may have problems with access, this is especially true if you are accessing from a work location. If that is the case, contact your system administrator to resolve the problem.

Make sure that you are using the latest version of Java. You can download the latest Java runtime here.

Restart your computer.

3: I used WNC Online a few hours ago, and now I can't access it anymore (says user name or password is invalid).

If you forget to use the logout link in WNC Online, your web browser can be locked out. To remedy this, simply close the browser completely or use a different browser on your computer. If you do nothing, it will reset itself after a time period.

4: What web browsers can I use with WNC Online?

Internet Explorer 9 or Firefox 3.6 or later are required to access WNC Online.

5: I've forgotten my WNC Online password.

Contact the Library Reference desk at 775-445-3227 and they can reset your password for you.
