Wildcats Return to Campus
For the safety of our students, faculty, and staff, face coverings must be worn on campus and in a face-to-face classroom setting, with few, limited exceptions. Students whose health conditions could require an alternative to face coverings must contact the Disability Support Services Office. In addition to face coverings, social distancing must be adhered to.
It’s all here. Go get it.
Variety. Commitment. Success.
At Western, we care about learning that lasts a lifetime. Whether you’re a student attending Western Nevada College for the first time or an individual returning to college to retool for the changing Nevada, we have degrees and programs to help you achieve your goals.
Our transfer degrees enable you to complete the first two years of a bachelor’s degree in a variety of majors for a fraction of the cost of a university, while professional and applied technology programs provide the skills and industry credentials you need to start a new career in as little as eight weeks.
Welcome to WNC
On behalf of the entire college family at Western Nevada College, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Western Nevada College (WNC). WNC is a vital part of the fabric of our communities. We strive to be good neighbors and contribute to the economic well-being of the areas we serve. We have deep roots in one of the most beautiful and pristine regions of the country.
WNC is steeped with nearly 50 years of growth and educational excellence in Nevada. From our humble beginnings in Carson City, to our expansion into the communities of Fallon in 1981 and Douglas County in 1997, we have helped students achieve their educational goals and dreams.
At WNC, we aim to not only to ensure the success of students in our classrooms and academic programs but also to create holistic individuals who are prepared to excel in their chosen academic fields and serve as leaders in their communities.
We are proud of the college’s academic rigor, small class sizes and personalized instruction taught by some of the very best faculty in the great state of Nevada. Staff members on our team also provide students with a positive and nurturing environment. This aids in students’ completion of academic goals and prepares them to actively participate in a robust workforce.
As you explore this site or any one of the WNC locations, you will find that our team members are friendly, willing to assist you in your academic endeavors and, above all, committed to your success.
