I. Catalog Course Description

Introduces beginning techniques of jazz dance. May be repeated for up to four credits.


II: Course Objectives

By the completion of the class, the students should, with 75% accuracy:

  • Know objectives and techniques of warming up.
  • Use basic terminology.
  • Perform simple dance combinations with proper body positioning.
  • Be able to choreograph short dance routines using the jazz idiom.
