I. Catalog Course Description

Prerequisites: EDU204 or consent of instructor
Addresses designing and constructing a variety of common core educational artifacts for tomorrow's classrooms by way of hands-on advanced information technology applications. Students create a selection of high quality common core educational artifacts that are appropriate and/or applicable for the digital classroom and a Teacher's E-Portfolio.

II: Course Objectives

The successful student will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Relate the major teaching/learning theories to information technology applications.
  • Discuss issues/trends in educational computing
  • Utilize hardware technology such as scanners, digital/video cameras, and CD media storage.
  • Acquire the skills and knowledge to create an electronic portfolio
  • Automate teacher tasks
