Prospective college students can better prepare for the Accuplacer test through a free preparation course that can found on Western Nevada College’s Counseling Services Web page.
Accuplacer Prep allows students to become better acquainted with the test’s content material, and by taking practice exams, they can learn and work on weaknesses.
The computer program will score students’ Accuplacer Prep tests, highlight errors and provide explanations for incorrect responses. By reviewing errors, students can learn what they need to study more so they can be better prepared for the actual Accuplacer test.
The assessment test provides colleges with students’ academic levels in reading, mathematics, computer literacy and writing. Accuplacer identifies students’ weak areas so they can improve those skills in preparation for enrolling in college-level courses.
