Western Nevada College believes that the arts are integral to a community and the people who live in it. The college is home to a wide variety of visual, performing, and cultural arts opportunities and events. With multiple art galleries, an acclaimed musical theatre company, and diverse student sponsored activities, WNC has something for everyone. For those who wish to get involved, WNC offers academic classes in fine, visual and performing arts.

Western Nevada Musical Theatre Company

The Western Nevada Musical Theatre Company(WNMTC) is a regional theatre company that operates in Carson City, Nevada, through the performing arts program of Western Nevada College.


Visual Arts

The arts are alive at Western Nevada College! Numerous art galleries feature a variety of works at WNC’s Carson City campus and WNC’s Fallon campus.

Cultural Events

In fall 2008, Western Nevada College sociology professor Don Carlson was stopped in his tracks by The New York Times’ Roster of the Dead. “Four thousand faces of American military who had perished in Iraq stared at me,” he said, “and I realized that this war has been perhaps one of the most impersonal wars ever fought.”
