BUYING COURSE MATERIALS AND MERCHANDISE FAQ
Course materials are available for purchase and rental 24/7 online at wncbookstore.com. While we will not maintain a permanent physical location on campus, we will have a seasonal pop-up location available at the beginning of the semester for FREE online order pickup, as well as ordering kiosks and rental return drop boxes on the Carson City and Fallon campuses. FREE online Order pick-up will be available to the Carson campus only.
The WNC Bookstore will offer a convenient “Pop-Up Bookstore” at the beginning of each semester for the Carson Campus. Please click HERE for the latest “Pop-Up Bookstore” hours. Hours of operation will be posted at each location closer to the start and end of every semester. FREE Carson online order pickup is only available for book orders purchased online prior to the first week of each semester – students cannot purchase books at these locations. Kiosks are available for in-person order placement or students can utilize their phone or other mobile device to place an online order and books will be shipped to the address provided. All orders will be fulfilled from the Textbook Brokers Reno warehouse within 24 hours.
Yes! The vast majority of textbooks are available to rent.

No, the bookstore does not accept financial aid at this time. The bookstore does accept all forms of credit card payment.
No. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept gift cards from other vendors.

There are three drop boxes available to students.
- 1 drop box inside Dini (outside DINI 100)
- 1 drop box inside Bristlecone (outside Admissions and Records)
- 1 drop box inside Getto Hall (near the front desk)
Western Nevada College is committed to the success of our students. One continuing barrier to student success is the high cost of course materials. Our instructional and student services departments, in partnership with our college bookstores, have made great strides in lowering the cost of course materials for students. This has included a combination of zero-cost Open Educational Resources (OER), low-cost digital, rental, and used course materials options. Though we are proud of our efforts so far, we know there is more that we can do. To support our continued drive to lower the cost of course materials for our students, we have entered into a partnership with Textbook Brokers to manage and operate our college bookstores.
