I. Catalog Course Description
Continues development of correct and pleasing use of the voice for singers through study of vocal literature and exercises.
II: Course Objectives
By the completion of the class, the students should, with 75% accuracy:
- Breathe correctly
- Sing using chest, mix, and head voice
- Pronounce consonants and vowels correctly
- Move through the passagio from chest to mix and mix to head
- Vary vibrato and vocal technique between operatic and musical theatre styles
- Use correct posture for singing
- Identify muscles used for support
