Stephanie Arrigotti grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, then graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a bachelor's degree in English. She worked in public relations before completing her Master of Music degree from the University of Nevada, Reno.
Arrigotti started the music program at Western Nevada College in 1977, where she serves as the only full-time performing arts professor, coordinating 12 part-time instructors in music, dance and theater. She has directed dozens of musicals, including The Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, The King and I, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Beauty and the Beast, and West Side Story, and has produced more than 90 shows for the college's production company, called The Western Nevada Musical Theatre Company.
Stephanie was named Woman of Distinction by Soroptomists International in 2003 and Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year in 2007. She is married to Rich Arrigotti, WNC math professor and patient sound technician for her non-stop productions.
