For Our Graduates,
Determining the best way to celebrate our graduating class has been a challenge during this unprecedented time. We recognize the importance of a ceremony to mark the end of a journey and celebrate the accomplishments of our students. After careful consideration and with the safety of our graduates and community being a priority, we are excited to announce a unique way for us to celebrate the perseverance and achievement of our graduating class.
Western Nevada College will host two Parade of Graduates drive-thru ceremonies to recognize the class of 2019-2020. Each graduate will have the opportunity to have family or friends drive them to a selected area on campus, exit their vehicle, and have their name announced while being congratulated by dignitaries and WNC faculty and staff.
WNC students who received a degree or certificate of achievement in summer or fall of 2019, or have been approved for graduation for spring 2020, are welcome to participate in a Parade of Graduates drive-through ceremony.
Social distancing measures will be in place to ensure the safety of graduates and staff.
Graduates will have the opportunity to participate in one of two celebratory parades:
Thursday, June 25
Carson City Campus
Friday, June 26
Caps and Gowns
Graduation regalia, including caps, gowns and tassels, will be available for purchase and pickup at the WNC Bookstore on June 15 through June 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. To order online, go to https://www.bkstr.com/westernnevadacarsonstore/shop/graduation. Online orders will be shipped to your home address and must be made by June 19. You are welcome to participate without regalia, if desired.
We encourage you to celebrate in style by decorating your vehicle in honor of YOU!

To organize traffic flow, etc. we must hear from you by this date so we can plan accordingly. We will send out additional details after June 12, including a specific time and location for you to arrive.
