The Western Nevada College Business Association will host a “Dress for Success†event from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 12, at Burlington Coat Factory, Carson City, Nev. The event is free for all WNC students, and is intended to offer professional advice on appropriate professional and business-casual attire.
The staff at Burlington Coat Factory will assist students with selecting apparel, and students will be able to try on clothes. Store staff will provide style tips to help students learn what to look for when shopping for a professional wardrobe.
“We are very excited to give our students this opportunity. This will give them knowledge on how to dress to impress employers and build confidence when seeking employment,” said Dr. Robert Whitcomb, WNC Business professor, and advisor for the WNC Business Association.
“There will be no hard selling on the store’s part, just a willingness to help students learn what work attire may give them a professional edge.“
WNC’s Business Association is open to all WNC students who are interested in any area of business, as well as WNC alumni and community members. The association is focused on providing educational experiences and opportunities for students, as well as supporting community needs.
