Western Nevada Musical Theatre Company has decided to delay the start of its matinee showings of Mamma Mia! on Nov. 17 and 18 because of the Nevada Department of Transportation’s plans to close roads between Reno and Carson City.
NV Energy is planning to perform major utility line repairs on I-580 and U.S. 395 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17 and Sunday, Nov. 18. The closure spans from U.S. 50/East William Street in Carson City to Alternate U.S. 395 Bowers Mansion Exit 50 in northern Washoe Valley.
As a result, the Mamma Mia! matinees will be pushed back 30 minutes until 2:30 p.m on both days to allow attendees enough time to travel to the performances. Doors to the Carson City Community Center will open at 2 p.m.
Evening performances on Friday, Nov. 16 and Saturday, Nov. 17 will start at 7:30 p.m. as scheduled.
Tickets cost $25 and $28 and are available by calling 775-445-4249 or by going to WNMTC.com.
