Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe, VPIIEWestern Nevada College is delighted to announce that J. Kyle Dalpe, Ph.D., will join the college as Vice President of Instruction and Institutional Effectiveness on July 1, 2019.

“I am very excited to join Western Nevada College and look forward to working with the faculty and staff to support student access and success through the college’s many programs,” Dalpe said. “I see quite a bit of opportunity going forward in both transfer and career training programs to meet the needs of our students and respond to demands by employers in the community.”

Dr. Dalpe is very familiar with higher education in Nevada and has worked for more than 23 years supporting student access and success.

“We are very pleased to have Dr. Dalpe as the newest team member at WNC,” said WNC President Dr. Vincent Solis. “Dr. Dalpe brings a wealth of knowledge in higher education and he has served the students of Nevada for many years, working to provide access and student success. We look forward to having Dr. Dalpe on campus.”

During the past 16 years, Dr. Dalpe has served at Truckee Meadows Community College in various leadership positions, including Director of Institutional Advancement, Associate Dean and Chief of Staff in the President’s Office, Acting President, and Dean of the Technical Sciences Division. As Dean of Technical Sciences at TMCC, Dalpe worked with major companies to develop training options to meet the needs of the region. He led the applied technology programs including robotics, advanced manufacturing, welding, machining, air conditioning, unmanned aerial systems, diesel and automotive.
