Are you thinking of growing lavender to sell commercially? Have you already started, and you’re ready to learn more? Join us for a day of learning with industry expert Andy Van Hevelingen. Back by popular demand, Andy will share 40 years’ knowledge of growing lavender and herbs. And he will transform the workshop into an olfactory paradise with his demonstration of a simple, small scale distillation process using a microwave oven that can be used to test lavender quality.
Andy Van Hevelingen is co-owner and manager of Van Hevelingen Herb Nursery, a small wholesale nursery in Newberg, Oregon. He has been growing herbs and lavender for more than 40 years and has introduced several unique lavender cultivars. He grows and sells more than 100 varieties of lavender and herbs at his nursery. Andy has written articles for Sunset magazine, The Herb Companion and Fine Gardening and is a popular lecturer across the United States.
