Western Nevada College welcomed representatives of the United States Navy on Tuesday as they toured Jack C. Davis Observatory, as well as the college’s Advanced Manufacturing and Computer Information and Technology facilities. Les Hubbard, Command Information Officer for Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, toured the Carson City campus with Lt. Elizabeth Allen and PS2 Joshua Lewis. WNC Acting President P. Mark Ghan, WNC Foundation Executive Director Niki Gladys, Veterans Resource Center Coordinator Kevin Burns and Thomas Herring, director of Jack C. Davis Observatory and a physics professor at the college, also accompanied the Navy delegation on the tour.
