Veterans Resource Center Menu
The Veterans Resource Center at WNC opened January 2013 as a place on campus for student veterans and has since grown into the model Veteran Resource Program in Northern Nevada.
The Center is manned by an all veteran staff that knows what it means to serve and to maintain focus on our motto of “Vets helping Vets”. By operating a diverse selection of programs and initiatives designed to serve its diverse population The Center’s primary focus is to assist the veteran or their family through the transition to the world of higher education.
A pre-admission adviser walks the veteran through the often difficult process of creating an educational plan in order to maximize their VA education benefits. The Veteran Resource Center Coordinator is also the academic adviser for the student veterans on campus; his primary mission is to ensure that our veterans are given all the tools they need to succeed.
It is a place where veterans can gather with those who have shared experiences in life and who understand. A vet walks through our doors a stranger once.
The Social Lounge Section of the Veteran Resource Center will not be available until further notice. Please use the YoubookMe found here : https://wncvets.youcanbook.me/ to schedule use of the study lounge area. 3 person maximum, 45 minute blocks.
