If you have an interest in entering the half care profession, then you don’t want to miss Western Nevada College’s Open House on Thursday, Oct. 20 in Fallon.
A Certified Nursing Assistant and Nursing Open House is planned from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Churchill County Annex Building on Taylor Street in Fallon.
“It will be an opportunity for the Fallon community to learn about our CNA and RN programs at WNC,” said WNC Fallon Campus Director Sherry Black. “It’s a great space with state of the art equipment and will show potential students what they can look forward to working with if they are interested in the health care field.”
Nursing classes resumed on the Fallon campus for the fall semester. The CNA course has been one of the more popular classes on the Fallon campus in recent years.
“The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that employment of CNAs will grow by 21 percent over the next decade, which is significantly faster than the overall rate of employment growth,” Black said.
