WNC Selected from Thousands for Best Value Award

Posted: April 13, 2017

Affordability, student satisfaction and exemplary academics are reasons why Western Nevada College is the recipient of the 2017 Best Value School Award.

WNC was selected out of nearly 8,000 postsecondary schools for the Best Value School Award, which is issued by University Research & Review, a company dedicated to improving the process of how a student selects a postsecondary school.

The award is earned through a nomination and committee evaluation processes. The committee that reviewed more than 100 nominees out of thousands of eligible schools is made up of former university presidents, CEOs, provosts and professors.

WNC was chosen by the committee because it passed rigorous standards, including a combination of cost, accreditation, variety and quality of school programs, and student satisfaction with the institution.

The Best Value School Awards are designed to assist students in selecting a higher education institution that combines quality education, career and professional direction and financial value.

WNC will retain the Best Value School designation for one year.
